The year is 2378, the last echoes of the Dominion War are still
ringing. The Dominion has withdrawn to the Gamma Quadrant and closed its
borders, the Cardassians are a decimated empire, reliant on aid to survive,
and desperately trying to find their new place in the universe...
The Great Alliance stands on shaky grounds, with the ages of enmity between
Klingon and Romulan crumbling the foundations, while each power seeks to hold
their new territory in Cardassian space. And while the Federation continues to
broker peace, Starfleet's attempts to return to their original mission are
hampered by division in the admiralty between the doves and the hawks...
The Breen, humiliated by defeat have withdrawn to their own territory, unaware
that they are able to claim a place among the powerful empires in the Galaxy...
And the former Maquis have formed an independent state, aided by the Klingons,
in the former DMZ...
It is an age where the line between friend and foe becomes blurred, as new
alliances are sought, and older enemies see an opportunity to seek revenge,
or power. Where even the high values of Starfleet are put to the test.
Into this mix, the USS Venture, one of the great Galaxy Class ships is assigned.
Her mission one of peace and or war. Assigned to seek friend and confront foe.
To tread the murky political waters of the new shape of the Galaxy, and to apply
force where needed... While the Galaxy recovers from the damage of war, it's
resources are stretched to the limits...
Ships are sent far afield and must rely on their own ability to deal with many
situations as they arise, with little or no support.
Can you survive this brave, new world...
